Global Protocol for Community-Scale Greenhouse Gas Emission Inventories (GPC)

The World Resources Institute (WRI), C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group, and ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability (ICLEI) have partnered to create the Global Protocol for Community-Scale Greenhouse Gas Emission Inventories (GPC). This tool provides a global protocol for GHG emissions inventories and assists cities in compiling their GHG inventory. The calculations are based on energy activities, industrial processes, agriculture, land-use change and forestry, and waste. More than 100 cities around the world have used the GPC to measure their GHG emissions.
